I've heard of gender confusion, but what do you call it when a white "purple" coneflower starts blooming on a plant with other purple coneflowers? Is it an albino flower? A genetic mutation? I'm confused. The only flowers in the garden are purple coneflowers, black-eyed susans and montauk daisies (white but they look nothing like this one). Where did it come from?
